One-line Definition
A zodiac-tiger-inspired family of audio products and festive packaging.
Brief
The series translates the Year of the Tiger into earbuds, neckband earphones, a compact speaker and coordinated gift packaging. It aims to make traditional zodiac imagery relevant to younger users through familiar consumer electronics. Product form and packaging are designed as one seasonal gift experience.
Concept Development
Tiger ears, stripes, paws and rounded facial volumes are abstracted into functional product details. The speaker becomes the most character-like object, while the earphones use subtler stripe and colour cues for everyday wear. The family balances recognisable cultural symbolism with practical product categories.
Form Development
Soft orange shells contrast with black or white audio components, while perforated grilles become parts of the face or stripe pattern. Rounded corners and compact proportions keep the objects friendly and easy to hold. Several colourways extend the same language across different products.
Final Design
The final set includes true-wireless earbuds, a striped charging case, neckband earphones, a character speaker and windowed gift boxes. Packaging reveals the products while retaining a festive collectible presentation. Series diagrams and detail views show how shared cues are adapted across scales.
Outcome
The project practised cultural translation across a coordinated product family rather than a single object. It strengthened CMF consistency, packaging integration and the control of character expression in consumer electronics. Further development would add acoustic requirements, charging architecture and manufacturable part splits.
